The Datanamix Contact ID API product gives companies the ability to match a mobile number to a possible ID number. The service requires a 10-digit South African mobile operator number to match against the credit bureau industry database.

The solution looks to match a given mobile number to any 13-digit South African identity number on file that has been updated within a preceding period of 12 months. Up to five ID numbers with full names will be returned, with the first on file being the most recent link.

Datanamix's Contact ID service is used by companies, such as a call centres, to match incoming calls to an identity. It is an efficient way of checking whether the person on the other side of the line is in fact who they claim to be, and not a fraudster.

This product is currently only available for API integration by South African companies.
